to the AUBERGE de TEMPLE
NUR DER GENUSS WIRD ZU SCHÖPFUNG Voltaire
It lies here, in the idyllic Spessart, where nature and Frankish warmth have served as a source of inspiration for artists and connoisseurs for a long time: the Auberge de Temple. At around 365 meters a.s.l. the estate, which has been standing for traditional hospitality for many decades, welcomes its guests.
“In hospitality humanity occurs outwardly in appearance, so that the stranger does not remain without shelter and will be hosted lovingly, so that the door will be opened when he arrives. It is very prestigeous to the whole world, when strangers are received with honor, and that the kind invitation to the convivial table is not denied, hasten to meet them with generous offer, even if one keeps looking for incoming foreigners. ” Ambrosius of Milan, 339-397. Recultivating this tradition on the Bavarian Johannesberg vividly succeeded in 2013. Today guests will find authentic, traditional hospitality in an idyllic setting. The small but fine art gallery, the individually designed rooms and selected specialties from both restaurants turn this setting into a house where globetrotters, down-to-earth, sophisticated or convivial people, peace seekers, culture as well as nature lovers, wine connoisseurs and gourmets feel welcome and at home.
